The so-called Justice system

show me where anyone has said that.

The question was asked re what the provocation mentioned by the judge was. The provocation was a racial insult. Was that provocation for most on here... I guess not, but it was obviously provocation for the convicted.

Interestingly, the local MP has taken this up as this is the 4th one punch killing in Bournemouth in the last 13 years & this seems to be the longest sentence.

How does that fit with being lenient?? just asking !

Without a comparison of each case we cant say.

I was surprised at the length of each sentence, around 3-5 years for similar incidents. A disagreement, one punch & a fatality. Maybe this case highlights the issue, but it seems to be treated towards the lower end of the scale

...law breakers and they get more rights then us that obey the law

Prove that statement - or admit it's rubbish.

They may get more instances where their rights are tested or used, but that's not the same as 'more rights' per se!

How often have you used your 'right to remain silent' or 'right to a solicitor'? Doesn't mean you don't have them when appropriate!

Never as I stay within the law , always have done

I don't believe that statement either, but not being able to prove it, it's only my opinion.

And you ignored my 'Prove it' challenge! Why?

Just who do you think you are anyway , you some guy I don't know and I have to prove nothing too you , as for your opinion , is your right , don't make it right but its your right to have that opinion , enjoy

So that will be an admission that you can't prove it then!

Pack it in, the pair of you.

The debates been healthy without any point scoring, don't spoil my topic

Sorry mate , I am not points scoring , just think we too soft on law breakers that's all nothing more ..........EYG

The law is correct - the punishments handed out by single judges need looking into

Nothing unhealthy about it imo. And still 'on topic'. The title of the thread was 'the so-called Justice system', after all!

And while you may have started the thread, it ain't 'your topic' either!

But, back fully on topic...

... 'may need looking into'. Otherwise they all may as well be disqualified from setting punishments.

And the fact that there is a 'just' remedy simply proves the robustness of the system!

I find a lot of your posts argumentative in response to people open opinions and then when those people challenge your rudeness, its them that get in trouble. I have no time for people like you so, as I've said elsewhere, this is the easiest decision I've had to make for a long time, ta ta
