This 'Expert' forum is rather like a doctor's surgery - all problems waiting for a cure.

Well I have decided to report the cure, just to be different.

I have played for 40 plus years, still hit it up alongside the youngsters and enjoy all aspects of the sport.

Putting, however, has always been a problem, with everyone remarking on the problem (39 putts per round average) but never offering a cure.

Along came Bob V on here - what he said made sense to me - a wee alteration to suit me and hey presto! A cure!!

29/30 putts a round now and this I hope will be the norm as I get the 'feel' under control, changed stance/ball position and swing still feeling strange but any putt of circa 15 feet is now under threat of the big drop.

Good news on a Monday?? What is the world coming to!!

I'm glad your on the mend :)
Keep up with the medication and come and see me on Friday if the rash doesn't clear up. :D

It means that despite his advancing years, he can still hit it as long as the young guns...I guess :D

This is indeed the case! I find it amazing that I can still hit the ball as far as I did when I was much younger and thank God for both my health and the improvement in golf equipment.

The disappointment of, however, hitting the green on a par five hole in two and ending up with a five, has always been with me due to my inability to putt with confidence.

This lack of confidence when taking the putter from the bag is now replaced with a positive feeling of 'this could drop' - pure magic!

I always think that, generally just before I go on to 3 putt :D

Have a wee word with Bob - he knows about these things!
