Played here with my wife today on a really nice sunny day. Poured all day yesterday, but apart from the off puddle on cinder paths, you'd never know.
This place was taken over a few years ago and all the blurb goes on about how much work has gone on. Not been here before so can't judge, but what I would say is how good the greens were. Decent speed and really true to putt on - also visually a very consistent colour and grass type.
A mix of some very good holes and a couple of dull ones...but maybe they are on the "face lift" list! Only 6274 off the back, but Cornish gradients on the back nine make this feel longer in places.
OK,St Enodoc are not quakeing in their boots, but for holiday golf with a decent challenge in places, this is really enjoyable. They have accommodation and gym etc on site - so might be a decent base for a trip too...
£37-50 green fee felt top end of acceptable, but the greens were as good as many much more expensive courses I've visited this year.
I'd be interested what folk who played it under the previous incarnation of "Roserrow" and if it has come on as much as the blurb says.
A few rough edges need sorting and a visit from a course architect to sort out some oddities (4th tee in wrong place imho and the 8th is dull etc) and this could go up a division...
But, really good fun - need to play well to score well, but it won't beat you up either....might make a good inland day off the tougher links challenges of this part of the world
