The perfect clubhouse

So essentially Snelly, you want a London members' club placed next to a golf course? RAC club might be nice in that case. I'm in.

RAC is good! Plus they have squash courts - even a couple of full sized doubles courts which are great.

On the downside, I think they let footballers in though.....

Nah, you carry on Snelly, loved the, -"Uniforms for the above one size too small".

Is the above list a selection of all those top clubhouses that you have frequented put together, or is there such a one that exists?

A combination of a few I think yes...!

Our waitresses do wear the shortest skirts and tightest tops Snelly and they are agreeably attractive. I will point you out to them so you get some extra special flirting ! Apart from that I don't think we have much on your list.;)

Oh Rich you have so much more, Hand dryers that double as arse dryers wasn't on Snelly's list. I do remember the hand dryers at Blackmore serving that very purpose !

I once played at Royal Eastbourne and when relaxing in the bar with friends before lunch, I noticed that the waiting staff were at the other end of the bar on a bit of a break before they worked the lunch session. I was drawn to the pretty young waitress with her back to us as she was sat on a bar stool, leaning forwards and chatting to her friend. In the process of doing so, she had ensured that her blouse moved up from the waist of her hipster trousers at the back which had in turn, moved downwards..

This showed off her (very nice admittedly) lower back and also exposed the naughtiest, minxiest, most elaborate thong that I think I have ever seen. It was quite fantastic and I made a point of telling her so. :o Unlike the food and course I might add!

As for Blackmoor, that sounds marvellous! I am making two trips to your lovely club in 2012. The first in April for a fixture I am organising and the second in the Autumn when on my recommendation, the Aircraft Golfing Society is having a members day there.

Should be excellent, especially now that the waitresses will have been rigorously primed by a member. Oo-er missus.......

We did reminisce about that at East Brighton.

Just not fair, Snelly gets to see the 'naughtiest, minxiest, most elaborate thong' on a young stunner, and we get to see James's great big hairy .... :(

I think my days of 'rigorously priming' a young wench are well gone Snelly, but good to hear you enjoy the course so much.

the glen is a great setting for a clubhouse having your beer or dinner looking out to bass rock, while other side looks out over 18th,

hessle golf club as well which is local to me you casn sit on balconey and watch the 9th and 18th greens right in front of you

I like a bit of a mix of traditional and modern. I would like my ideal 19th to have an upstairs for formal dining (club matches, etc) but also an upstairs balcony you can sit and chill on and watch players coming down the last. Downstairs I'd like a snooker room, decent locker room with good quality and large lockers, a good shower system and decent towels freely available. More than one PSI terminal. Regular guest beers and a rolling specials board for food which is sensibly priced (anyone from RA reading catering or committee here?)

It should have the sport on, with a screens in the locker room. We already have very good bar staff and I wouldn't want them to change. The atmosphere should be pretty much as we have it now but I'd like to give the ladies their own lounge too so that they can feel free to enjoy themselves too and not be put off by the sport on the TV and the occasional raucous comment. A real log fire would be smashing.

Hi guys,

What would make a clubhouse perfect? Both members, and guest.

I'm not interested in course or training suggestions, more about the clubhouse facilities, both indoor and outdoor.

Parking spaces, clubhouse layout, paths to the golfcourse and training area, locker room, bath and toilet, relaxing areas, wifi/tv placements, cafe/restaurant etc.

Hope some of you have some experiences or ideas you would like to share!

why do you want to know? and nice intro to the forum. eh one that is open

I would love a simple clubhouse as most people at my club seem to want a couple of pints, a bit of breakfast or lunch and a coffee. With that in mind I would not want it to be a drain on club resources that could be applied elsewhere. Simple spike bar with decent beer, decent coffee and a selection of hot or cold sandwiches. Not sure I need much more than that except maybe some tables outside if the sun comes out.

I would venture that the OP has recently aquired a golf club or has been appointed as a manager of a golf club and wants to see what good changes he can implement within his budget. So this would be the best place to come and get that feedback

In terms of the question:
Bar/restaurant nicely decorated, comfie couches/chairs, fire would be good, decent beer, nice food, pretty waitresses, golf on the big tv, view of the 18th green would be a bonus, nice selection of single malts...I dont think I would leave
