Cant believe The Open is only 2 weeks away. Really looking forward to a great week.
I will be attending Sunday to Sunday and will be following as many of the British stars as possible.
I have been the last 2 occasions to Lytham and find the 1st hole really interesting to watch. Being a opening Par 3 the Pros need to be on their game straightaway to avoid dropping an early shot.
Im working as a Fairway Marshall from 7am everyday so look out for me.
Hope to see a lot of GM members there.

Good luck to all the British guys.

Will also be there all week as i will be marshaling the 5th par 3 hole with other members from our golf club, got our jackets and tickets last week from the golf club

For me it will add another dimension in that i will be able to gauge their yardage into the greens to get a bit more feel for what club they may be taking (to then stand there in awe ;) )

Hopefully it's all ok but TBH i would agree that a ban on phones is better as you know on thurs/fri people will bunk off work to go meaning they need to watch their phones for emails/calls from an angry boss ;)

Watch out for a huge Yorkshireman on Sunday. I'll be the one shouting "potato" when Rory is putting :-)

Incidently, was at final qualifying yesterday at Southport & Ainsdale.

Dougherty's game shot to pieces, was reloading all day. Was only the fact he had crowds that his ball kept getting found. nice guy though. Was stood next to John Parrot for a bit of the day, probably felt strange that i wasn't pestering him.
5hr.15min rounds.... FFS speed it up guys, R&A official said crowds aren't helping.... Bollox, it's the pro's that are playing the shots, the crowd move with them.
