The Open

I went to The Open at Hoylake 2006 and personally I think unless you get a grandstand seat and are prepared to stay there all day to watch the groups your better off watching it on tv.Walking the course watching the odd shot can be very tedious and you miss too much of the other play.I'm with Homer, telly, pot of tea and biccies....

I'm going on the Monday practice day and Friday championship day! Can't wait. Got to set off at 5.30am on the Monday and 4.30am on the Friday. I'm not going to miss one minute!!

I was lucky enough to have an "Access all areas" badge at Turnberry in 2009 - it was the experience of a lifetime. I would suggest a mixture of spending time in a grandstand watching some groups come through, and walking some holes. I'd recommend everybody to stop by the practice range at some point - it's awesome to see the top pro's preparation and practice routines.

All those going - enjoy!

Homer - pass the biccies please. :D

First post - I require a little advice really.

Due to work commitments and being busy on the weekend of the main event a group of us have planned to go on Sunday 15th (first practice day). What should we expect on a practice day so early and will our experience be a worthwhile one?

Thanks in advance.
