Finally put in the last of my 3 cards for handicap on Wednesday. Wasn't expecting to get much after rounds of 96, 99 and 103! :mmm:

Got notification of my handicap back this morning. I am both surprised and pleased, wasn't expecting what I got! I thought 25, maybe 26... been given 21 to start! :whoo:

The only way is down from here, hopefully!

We shall see, first time handicappers tend to get lower handicaps to stop them coming in and cleaning up at comps

seems low based on the cards unless you had a several scores more than double bogey that were rounded down.

I would say that sounds about right! I got given 20, and from memory I had nothing lower than a 96!

Good starting number. Enjoy and relish the challenge of getting lower. Remember there will be more 0.1's than cuts from here on in but it's the days the handicap secretary gets the red pen out and cuts your number that live longest in the memory

Well done and your first handicap should be a fair challenge to play to if it's that easy then the handicap committee have got it wrong. Good luck in the next stage and get it down to 18 is the next challenge for you.
