I have recently aquired a full set of Ping G15 clubs
Driver, 3 5 wood
23 Degree Hybrid
5 to sw Irons

Imurg now refers to me as "The Ping Whore"
have to say love the clubs, first round with them yesterday got 30 points , got tired at the end, but a good solid round.

So What is my gripe

PING HEADCOVERS

I know they are new, but I have to really wrestle with them to get the blooming things back on

Why oh why cant they put a zip in them to make it easier like my old Mizunos

Apart from that Happy Days and looking forward to reducing the handicap

Dont get me started on Ping headcovers. 'Cos of them I now have a beaver on my driver and a guinea pig converted hand puppet on the 5 wood anything but a Ping headcover they look like someone wearing very tight leather pants and a sailors hat (if you know what I mean ) designed them. ;)

Have to say, although Fragger hit them quite well and likes them, the irons and hybrid are possibly the ugliest clubs I've ever seen.

Ping are quite frankly the dogs danglies!

Only thing that bugs me about the headcover is that they dont offer any shaft protection. Its just the headcover and no sock!

Nuffin wrong with being a Ping whore in my eyes!

What Custom made / novelty head covers do other posters have?

I'd like some Thunderbird ones

1 Driver Thunderbird 1 The Blue/Gray Rocket
2 Fairway wood Thunderbird 2 The Big Green one
3 fairway wood Thunderbird 3 The Orange Space Rocket
4 fairway Wood Thunderbird 4 Little Yellow Submarine
5 Fairway wood Thunderbird 5 Space Station

My Hybrid could have The Mole As im good at digging myself out of holes with it:D

Now All I need is to find someone to make tham and I will be a squillionaire and be able to afford all those nice clubs currently sitting on my credit card

Just got (yesterday) my G15 irons and apart from an initial shank or three so far so good; really feel nice. Test will, hopefully, be next weekend on the course.

I have a G10 hybrid and the cover's OK as easy as the cover for my TM Burner driver IMO.

Definitely agree that there's a gap in the market for Thunderbirds Are GO!!!

I've been a Ping whore forever, and I've found that I tend to hit them without the headcover on, so it doesn't really matter to me.

Taken a while to get my G15's really working, but cleaned up with 40 points today and took most of the cash - and the rain stayed off!

happy days!

I think the G15 hybrid is one of the ugliest clubs out there and worse than the Nickent I tested for the GM user panel. Its a shame that Ping don't seem to be able to grap the concept of club protection as this was a familiar gripe when the G10's were out. Apart from the hybrid and the driver (only because I'm one of the few on here that can't seem to use it well) I love the Ping range. It was a real cosle call about the I15's but I'm a TM whor e in the same way as the OP is a Ping fan so the R9 won the day for me. Glad you like them and are getting on with them

Two more problems with Ping...

1. Wayyy to forgiving! I tried my friends g2 irons and every shot felt as if it was out of the centre...even though I knew they werent
2. The way the bounce is colour coded...very annoying!
