Thought i'd post my swing to see what you guys think.
All comments welcome, be as harsh as you like.

Not had a lesson in years and been 'teaching' myself. Do have my own thoughts on the golf swing and it does work.... Sometimes!

hi

nice bag, my wife actually has one

very nice swing, can i borrow it, just looks like you need a bit more width as the club is very close to your head at the top, and maybe your grip is slighty strong which may not be a bad thing anyway

HA HA!!

I was hoping nobody would pick up on that.
My old pencil bag needed changing so I got that off ebay for £8 new. Description was Claret Red?!?! Go figure. In the process of changing it but am recieving a good amount of flax at present.

I agree about the club being close to my head but I try and limit my hip turn to a very small amount so its a bit of a trade off. Limiting the hip turn so I can keep a really soild base. Probably not quite in line with the views of most!

I like your swing too Swinger. Good high hands in the follow through and finish. Reminded me of Langer a bit with the club twist at the end, What's stopping you going lower than 5 out of interest?

Thanks.

I used to play a slight cut with my old irons but seem to play a slight draw with my new ones(diff lies and shafts) it can sometimes turn into a slight pull draw too.
I did notice my stance was a bit open (probably due to lack of playing thanks to the weather) but think my shouulder line is square. Was surprised to see that myself.

For being self-taught it is a good swing! I followed that route for the first two years of my golf and it just ended up as a super flat swing!
For improving I would recommend that you turn a bit more as you get to the backswing, might add some power. Also lowering your follow-through might provide a lower flight if the ball flight is too high

Just as a matter of interest I see the red lamkin grips in the video. Just wondering what you think of them and where you got them as I'm interested in getting them

Thanks for the comments.
Bit too early to tell about the grips! Got the red lamkins on my new vokey wedges and first session with them. They are the full corded ones and felt good to me, nice soft feel. I'll let you know after a week or so if that changes.
I got them from my local pro so I'm guessing they are easy to get hold of.

Drinking and lack of practise.
I do practise my short game a bit which is pretty hot. Putting can be streaky but pretty good on average.
Hopefully this will be resolving iself this year. Going to practise lots, not drink before I play matches (except maybe for one or two social matches) and have some fun out there.
Think it would be nice to play some golf without a kicking hangover.

Nice swing and looks like you repeat it every time.

Looking at yr sig do you not use a driver ??

I wish I repeated it evertime!! Hopefully with a bit of practise I can really groove it.

Do use a driver, was just messing about with the sig. have a tendancy to chop and change clubs frequently so not much point putting them down!

Swing does seem quite quick for a 6 iron, but that might be me looking at it sideways ! I imagine you give it a fair smack!

It is pretty well up there with swing speed. Can't find my fitting sheet but think my SS with a 6 iron was about 110 mph. Might have been higher.

Had a ball speed monitor at a Nike demo day and got it up to 192mph but was low 180's on average.

Still swinging inside myself, not going all out but at those speed the inconsistancies make big differences.
