Just watched this and have to say it was a very, very good film.

I hear the Swedish original version is good/better but not my cup of tea with the old subtitles.

Well recommended & one of the best films I have seen for a while

Read the trilogy of Stieg Larsson's books and rearly enjoyed them. The film, according to the reviews, stays true to the book so I look forward to seeing it.

I read the books a few years back and really enjoyed them, although I think the third one peter's out a little bit. I tried to watch the original Swedish version of tattoo, but couldn't get into it. that may have been to do with the kind of mood I was in on the day, it was very dark and a bit slow going if I remember. Having said that, I am planning to give it another go. I am really looking forward to the new version as well.

Someone i know has seen both versions and said the English one was closer to the book than the Swedish version.

How violent is it? I'd like to see it, but my wife's a bit of a wuss.

its not too bad, a little bit of gore and a couple of mildly disturbing sexually orientated scenes

she should be ok

The Swedish film versions were excellent, as were the books. Don't be put off by subtitles, you quickly get used to them

Brilliant film. Have now read the book and enjoyed that even more as it is more detailed in places and has a slightly different ending from the film. have just started on second book and it's already difficult to put it down....

I haven't seen any of the films yet. But I've read the first two books and they're very good and I' m just about to read the last one.
