.....go on you know you want to.

In this case it's the devil that telling I really need to go buy the R11 driver to go with my R11 3 and 5 and there are two shops close to work, an American Golf which has stock in shop and a large golf shop which also has it in stock. No matter which way I drive home I have to pass close to one or the other.

It's got to the point now where I'm thinking as long as the cover doesn't come off in the house the other half will never notice the colour difference.

The only issue is using it, my dad would see it, my mates would see it and someone would let it slip.

Maybe a nice meal out and some flowers to smooth the way could help, being extra helpful around the house, get my other half to relax while I do all the housework.

I bought a beautiful putter a few weeks ago, and kept the rain cover on my bag so HID couldn't see it, only for her to check ebay history for a dress she bought and found the putter. These women are getting craftier than us. Last week whilst out with my wife, her sister and her husband, I heard my sister in law say (in Last of the Summer Wine style) "whats mine doing now?, hes always wandering off, buying things."

Nearly bought a set of S56's last week, then I was very tempted by Rob's I15's in the for sale section. Got an itch to change bats but I AM going to resist until the i20's come out.

I WILL RESIST, I WILL, I WILL, I WILL!

Why resist???

Life's to short to resist...

Make Rob an offer...go on...do it...

You'll only regret it in the morning...

This thread isn't helping I was kind of hoping some self righteous goody two shoes would tell me I'm being silly and guilt me into behaving.

But thus far all I read is how bad can it be?

I can hear the club calling me now  'Dave come and buy me'

I20's should hit the shelves in March, thats ideal new season bats.

K, What you have to ask yourself is, Do i really need it, Will i hit it better than my current driver, Is it worth the extra expense, Sorry to be a goody two shoes but reality has to kick in sometimes !!!..

Another vote for 'No Need' here, unless your current driver is really pants, but I'm guessing you wouldn't have bought shiny new fairway woods before driver if it were poop.

Having said that, you might resist today, you might resist tomorrow, but you will no doubt cave in before long, I've heard the tone before. It's almost like I can see the look in your eyes.

Not the same, but I had the little swine on my shoulder Tuesday during my medal round.

Level par after 8, hit a good drive on our par 5 9th that left about 240 to the green, uphill and over mature trees and a ditch with water in, off a sidehill lie with the ball below my feet.

I really really wanted to go for it, but the sensible person in me said to not ruin the round with a rash shot, and that I've often had 7's and 8's on this hole.

Decisions, decisions.

The Devil won :D

Resistance was futile and at lunch time today it was mine.

Tonight is going to be spent at the driving range setting it up.

17:00hrs cannot come fast enough
