I was on the throne looking at this months mag and was well pissed off by a wee 'In Brief' snippet on page 55.


Apparently there is a new web site that lets you ask a famous golfer (Rory, Westwod and Clarke) a question that they will answer personally . . . . for the sum of £2.50.
I GUESS CHUBBY CHANDLER IS BEHIND IT.

FFS does everything have a price?

I am completely disillusioned by the way our sports stars are being guided towards the $$$$£££££$$$$$ signs. It reminds me of the scene from Jerry McGuire when the basketball star refuses to sign a kids sticker card because it wasn't one he endorsed. Will these pompous erseholes refuse to talk to the fans?

I am angry by the antics of some football players and pray that golfers are not persuaded to adopt the God complex that premiership players have.

Then I wondered what question I would ask for my £2.50's worth.


How much money will be enough ?????

No doubt something to do with ISM, the only company who has not even bothered to reply to my requests for a donation to my charity day.

All other companies have replied, even some with a standard "no" letter. However atleast they have the decency to reply. ISM dont bother with anything, a shame as I really like Westwood, Clarke and Jeev Milkha Singh.

Must just be you. I've written directly to Westwood twice now and got a signed shirt for both charity auctions I've done. IMG always send a handful of postcard size pictures signed (Clarke, McGinley etc)

I've no probelem with anyone trying to earn money however they want as long as it is legal.

They wont be getting £2.50 from me. As for going the same way as footballers, yep I think they have, only a handfull of the tour golfers would have any TRUE time for the fans. Most of them only do things if the cameras are rolling. A big shame really, but now adays its all about cash..............
