The BEST news I have had in ages…!!!!

Sorry about the self gratifying post that is about to follow but, I have just had some BRILLIANT news!

After a wait of 5 and a half months, or exactly 161 days, 2 Medical Entrance exams, 2 interviews, 2 rejections (from Oxford and Edinburgh) and a lot of traveling back and forth over the Forth, I have finally received my 1st offer to study Medicine at University!!

But, what makes it even better is where it is…

ST ANDREWS!!!

Honestly, words cannot describe how good I feel! This year there was a 2.5% acceptance rate. And, on top of that I somehow have managed to defy the myth that English students can't get into Scottish unis, (although I never believed it in the first place!).

Here's to a lot of hard work and serious golfing!!

Just got to get 3 A's now…!!!!

I've been really interested in the BBC documentary series following some junior doctors through their early years.

When I was in my early 20s I was barely capable of looking after myself never mind making decisions on other people's lives!!

Great news, well done indeed, however in Scotland its rumoured that you don't get into St Andrews University unless your English!
