• We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!

The BEST news I have had in ages…!!!!

I must admit St Andrews is probably the most anglicised out of all Scottish unis, but certainly school tried to put me off applying to Scotland, (So I applied to 3!!). Having said that though I was the only English person out of 8 at my interview. I think it stems from Scottish students being paid for by the government, and the uni knows it is guaranteed money so they can budget, although that is still probably b*+=*@3ks too.

Yeah golf rates aren't bad either, last time I looked though I was appalled to see that the fees had gone up 33%…

, but they still are only… £170 for all 7 courses!!!! :o :o :o :o :o :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Oh and the members guest rates aren't too shabby either…! :D

You still can only do 3 years at St Andrews, but now you have a choice where you want to go, either Manchester (recommended for overseas students now), or the broad option of Scotland. Scotland, which is what I put down, means that I can go to either, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, or Aberdeen. It is based on 2nd year exams, the better the do the more likely you are to go where you want. But, so long as you pass you are guaranteed a place for the next 3 years.

I have been on a high all day, so much so that even after 3 straight holes of shanking, thinning ever shot, when playing with RGDave, I didn't care!

Once again, thanks for all the congratulations
