Caddy Replies

# 10 Golfer: "Think I'm going to drown myself in the lake."

Caddy: "Think you can keep your head down that long?"

# 9 Golfer: "I'd move heaven and earth to break 100 on this course."

Caddy: "Try heaven, you've already moved most of the earth.

# 8 Golfer: "Do you think my game is improving?"

Caddy: "Yes sir, you miss the ball much closer now."

# 7 Golfer: "Do you think I can get there with a 5 iron?"

Caddy : "Eventually."

# 6 Golfer: "You've got to be the worst caddy in the world."

Caddy: "I don't think so sir. That would be too much of a coincidence."

# 5 Golfer: "Please stop checking your watch all the time. It's too much

of a distraction.."

Caddy: "It's not a watch - it's a compass."

# 4 Golfer: "How do you like my game ?"

Caddy: "Very good sir, but personally, I prefer golf."

# 3 Golfer: "Do you think it's a sin to play on Sunday?"

Caddy: "The way you play, sir, it's a sin on any day."

# 2 Golfer: "This is the worst course I've ever played on."

Caddy: "This isn't the golf course. We left that an hour ago."

And the # 1 Best Caddy Comment.....

Golfer: "That can't be my ball, it's too old."

Caddy: "It's been a long time since we teed off, sir.*

Great list, HTL! Definitely a few chuckles there...

Made me wonder how many forummers have used a caddy. Where were you playing, how much did he or she cost, and was it worth it?!

I was told by a caddy I hired once "you hit that like a girl. You couldn't beat Liberace in a arm wrestle" Ok granted I had topped it 50 yards into a stream but it wasn't quite the motivational words I was expecting. Strangely he was on minimum wage for that round!

My father in-law caddied for me in the pro-am, felt slightly weird as i was playing off 27. I have to say it's the worse mistake i ever made.

All he done was put doubts in my mind, for example.....

I had 140yds in to the green, pulled out my 8iron as i hit it between 130 and 150 depending on how well i hit it. he talked me into a gentle 7iron, i never manage to get my hands through properly on a gentle shot and sliced it massively.

Maybe i'm using him as a scapegoat for my bad golf but he had to shoot off after 9 holes.... i scored 20pts on the back 9.

I remember reading somewhere about Tommy Bolt, who was a PGA tour player renowned for losing his temper on the course, snapping clubs that sort of thing.
Apparantly he was left with a shot of about 140 yards over a lake to the pin and asked his caddy which club he should use, to which came the replay "a nice easy 4 iron Tom".
"Don't be stupid, I could reach that with a 9 iron. Why are you saying an easy 4?"
"It's the only club you have left" came the caddies reply
