I just felt I needed to say thanks.
Someone asked me yesterday 'what exactly do you get out of the forum'.
Well................it's a few things really.
BTW, if you have a short attention span, hit your back button now.
I joined this forum late last year as I was trying to gather information on a swing patter that I heard about whilst watching golf on telly, namely Stack & Tilt.
This forum seemed to have loads of information & advice on the subject, so I joined, and I haven't looked back since.
I've got, from this forum, advice, confidence, enjoyment & inner peace.
Advice. Tons of it regarding S&T, and every aspect of it too. I even find this site excellent for fault rectification & a big  goes to JustOne amongst several others............thank you.
Confidence. I now attack a golf course with confidence that I've not had for many years, largely due to the fact that, with S&T, bad shots can be diagnosed straight away and therefore worked on immediately.
Enjoyment. Because I understand what I'm trying to do I'm also loving the game more than I have done for many, many years. I'm starting to hit better shots and more often...........and that is as a direct result of this site...........again, thank you.
Inner Peace. This is an odd one. Someone on this site posted the following link,

I had no idea what an affect this would have on me. I've recently lost my dad & one of my best mates has just been diagnosed with cancer and this made me think about my own mortality...........morbid, I know. I'm off to Spain tomorrow for a golfing week with my twin brother & two mates and I can honestly say, for the first time, winning is secondary. Sure I'll try my hardest to win and will give every shot 100% but if it doesn't work I really won't be too bothered. I'm with three mates playing golf on a beautiful course in lovely sunshine.......that's what matters to me. I'll genuinely applaud their good shots & encourage them when they're having a bad time. Their enjoyment is as important to me as my own, in fact, it can only enhance it.
That's enough of my ramblings for now............sorry to go on a bit.
Once again, thanks to everyone on this site,

Slime.

P.S. The banter's pretty good too!

bigslice agrees if your aiming to make career out of golf, its not fun. but us hackers play for the fun, the banter and that one decent shot from nowwhere. or playing sunday gross 99 then wed gross 75 same course!!!! thats why i play golf. but after recent losses family and friends come first
