Thanks for your help....NOT

Let's start again.

I know putters are a personal thing and it's a matter of feel and what suits you. I've read that enough times on this forum boys.

I told the guy that I already had a couple of mallet type putters that I didn't really get on with and pointed them out to him in the shop (both still curent models)
I then told him I fancied a blade such as a Rossa or Odyssey etc, etc.
I then explained and showed my putting stance and mentioned the fact that I may need a shorter putter than the standard length ones they had on display.

They have the kit there for fitting you out, they have the putters, and I had £150 in my back pocket.

As posted above, he just pointed a few out then did one!

My whole point was that it just seemed he couldn't be arsed helping me.
:D
I'm sorry, but none of this changes that you were looking for a putter. They can't fit you for a different shaft or swing speed, if you want one a different length, then they'll cut it down, but you've still got to find the putter you want.

So would you rather they hovered over you trying to push their current best bonus getter for them, as mentioned by others above, or be left to try a few and see which ones you liked for yourself?

Basher. I get it. Service and attitude. I've worked in retail and retail mgt to know where you're coming from. Yes, the putter is a very personal choice, but by god, the staff should show some interest.

Personally I've payed slightly more for goods, just because the service was better than the cheaper option. Though I do think I'm rare in that respect!

Also being a salesman, I'm very aware of being pushed to certain brands or products. Though if it works for me, why not!
