Sat here at the side of hotel pool for a few hours waiting for transfer to airport for next part of holiday. Done Bangkok and its mental. Traffic is just insane. The nightlife with the ladies of the night etc etc is to be seen to be believed. Western guys with girls young enough to be there granddaughters. Just dont sit right with tash. But who is using who? As for lady boys. Thats another thread on it own. Couldnt connect with Bangkok. But it is a base to get to Bridge over river Kwai etc. Now sat in Hotel at Chang Mai. Now Chang Mai is my sort of town, cheaper, cooler temps. More cultural. The people are fantastic. Plus it looks like some of the golf courses here are gorgeous. Off to Krabi in an hour for some R and R. Anyone done Thailand.

Been many times. Absolutely love it. We've done Bangkok, Phuket, Hua Hin, Koh Samui, Mae Hong Son and others. As you say the people are brilliant and the food is unbelievable along with plenty to see and do. Definitely our first choice holiday destination. Enjoy the rest of your break.

Love Thailand. Been twice in the last 3 years with the family meeting up with Australian relatives over the Easter holidays. Been to Bangkok, Phuket and Koh Samui.

The country is fantastic - weather, beaches, resorts and food amazing. The people are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. And always felt safe whenever we've been there. It's our favourite holiday destination.

Been at ao nang two hours and loving it. 😁👍

Golf here can get pretty expensive these days and the strength of the baht against the pound doesn’t help Brits. I have Thai driving license though, so I save around £25 a round on the better courses. Where did you play in Chiang Mai?

Guess which plank ( he had a tash ) never looked into playing in Chang Mai but focused on Krabi / Ao nang area. Got into Le Meridian hotel and the reception area had a dozen golf bags sat there. Same persons tyrets kicked in. Mind we only had threee full days in Chang mau so would if struggled to get a game in. Dont feel 100% so might kick it in the head re Krabi golf as well

Oh that’s a pity, Mai pen rai. Everything here from cheap local courses (new San Sai) to beautiful expensive course (highlands). And as you mentioned, this time of year it’s a lot cooler than down south. Enjoy the rest of your trip... kob khun krub.
