Tee off time gaps

During comps I think we are 8 minutes, not played any yet to see.. but normal days its just queue up and go, which sometimes can be a nightmare, my place don't do tee times. one Saturday I got down there and at 8:30 there were 26 people all waiting on the 1st!! and 10 on 10th all waiting to tee off.. plus we have 6 swindle go out one after another on a Saturday so you got no chance teeing off before 9 anyway..

This is why we have now gone to bookable tee times for Saturdays (8 days in advance on Friday evening). Players were queuing at 5.am to get their ball in the shoot. It was strongly felt that all members that have paid the appropriate fee should have an equal opportunity to get a game without having to travel miles in the early hours of the morning.

8 minutes at my club. Generally works well, however occasional hold ups.

Our place has just moved from 3 balls every 8 minutes to 4 balls every 10 minutes for comps as they reckon research shows this works better overall.

Think we play at the same place.

How are you finding the 4 balls?
