Taylormade m2 2016 - advice required

Hi All. I bought an m2 driver from last year in brand new condition from a pga seller. When ive heard people hit this club before, and in reviews, it makes a very dull and muted sound.

With this one, it often makes quite a sharp, loud, ting. I have proof that it is genuine - is there any logical reason for this?

Definatley m2s ypu have heard being hit first hand???
Reason i ask is my friend has an m1 and when i played around with the weights it changed the noise off the face

Good point, I find TopFlite balls make that sort of noise.

tend to use either srixon or nike balls.

ive had an m1 and can tell the changing sound as you move the weight around. I had thought the m2 was known for being muted though.

From playing with others using the 2 clubs I would have said that the M1 is the more muted (in the same way as the full SLDR v the fixed head version.

There are definitely Srixon and Nike balls that have as firm a cover as a Topflite as well!

What brand/model ball do you use?

I think it's something to do with the ball too.
A couple of pals have the exact same driver and we've all noticed the sound. It's worse (and sometimes deafening) with a harder ball or when you don't quite get a good strike on it.
