Tax refund

HMRC have just offered me a massive tax refund.
All I have to do is fill out a from sent from the following email :

HM Revenue & Customs - GOV.UK (mucixannulrciorba@foodandwine.com)

Hmmm, wonder what I should do

lol, a fishing site i go on has had posts of a similar vein posted up in the last couple of days . obviously a poor attempt at scamming ,but unfortunately there will im sure be idiots that fall for it.

Another scam doing the rounds is from someone purporting to be from Microsoft, offering to refund the extended warranty that came with Windows, in the light of the PPI problems.
its £127 and they just need your bank details and pin number.

But people still fall for it ,

I just had the same e-mail offering £287 and it looks real, HMRC will never tell you by e-mail only letter.
I had to call them on a separate matter anyway and they confirmed this to me

I did get a letter from HMRC but it was to tell me I owed them money even though they calculated my tax code 😒

I was thinking of claiming :smirk:
