Well, I have today taken the next inevitable step since my return to golf after a fifteen year break. I have joined a club again. Swore I wouldn't do it again but I miss having a base to just turn up at for a few holes, and the competition element has been pulling on me.
The club is Seckford Golf Club in Suffolk. Played it a few times prior to today and really enjoyed it. It's a non profit club so it all goes back into the course.
It's not the longest but is adequate for me to ease myself back into competition golf. 5000 yds off the whites, Par 66, SSS 65 (64 off the yellows).
Now all I need to do is set about getting a handicap.
