Never once seen anyone put a cigarette (or cigar) butt anywhere other than chucked on the course.

Im a smoker on the course and I hate seeing fag butts on the fairways, really annoys me. Ive got a little plastic astray I bought off eBay and I empty it at the end of the round. No excuse for dropping the butts on the course.

Litter on our course is relatively uncommon though not rare.
I pick it up when I see it and put it in a bin, but there is no way I would pick it up to transport home.
I can't see many other than the truly saintly carrying other people's rubbish away with them.
I'd of thought it will lead to a significant increase in rubbish.

I pick up the rubbish, stick it in my bag somewhere, and deposit it in the next bin I come to - which may be as I walk off the course but so be it. I don't take any home (unless I forget I've got it)

At our course they provide small screw top tins, similar to the small vaseline tins, to put cigarette butt's in.
So glad I stopped smoking years ago.

It really annoys me but I had that down to having never smoked. Big pet hate is butt ends in bunkers

So I mentioned this in our fuddle 4 ball today. Suffice to say the conversation went along the lines of, am expected to pick up someone else’s rubbish, China and India and USA are spewing out rubbish we have got rid of bins. Etc etc. I went for a tiddle in the woods and I couldn’t bring myself to pick up an empty can of estralla.
It didn’t help when we were on the par three 17th and the bin that holds soil and seed for divot repair had a cardboard coffee cup dumped in it. That didn’t go down well.
