If your tablet has cast screen in the settings and your TV has screen mirroring in its settings, how do you get the picture from the tablet to the TV without leads? Can it be done ? If so please show me in really and a mean really simple terms.

Cheers you clever lot.

What are you trying to stream? I would imagine your tv still needs a chromecast or roku stick to send it. Do you have one of these or just a smart tv? What tablet, what tv and any other stream stick devices would be helpful to know.

What kit are you using?
I can cast to my LG Smart tv from both my galaxy note 4 phone and my Acer Nitro laptop using wi-di and the native streaming app (wi-di from the laptop and app from phone)
Obviously kit age is a player here as older stuff will require a Chromecast or other external plug in device.

The tablet is a Lenovo one and the TV is a Sony smart one.

When I try to do it the tablet finds the TV when scanning but for some reason I can not get it to connect.

Just trying to watch a few films that are on the tablet.

on my Panasonic TV you need to access the mirroring app and allow connections first, then scan from phone and it works.

I use a surface tablet and Sony TV.

Access screen mirroring on TV.
Devices on tablet and select project
Little quirk on the TV. You must delete any devices saved. When searching in the screen mirroring, press options on the remote and delete any current connections.
Try to re connect.

The connection is usually bluetooth or your local network. Is the TV on the same home network, wired or wireless, as the tablet?
