Better ?

Luke can be seen to be swinging in to sq to in.
I was just curious to hear from the slicers who are trying to swing in to out if they think it's actually possible.

Well Bob as you well know when you first had a look at my swing i was very out to in.....Spending 12 months trying to draw the ball nearly broke me and i was able to at times just not very consistently so i gave up.....I remember a while back posting on here about the shape of my divots and the fact that they were crescent shaped rather than the usual rectangular shaped ones that were either left or right of the target line......I struggled with heaps of duck hooks and hooks with all my clubs....More so with the driver and longer clubs.......I then realized that i was swinging out at the ball and then back into the left which was creating these.

My swing at the time got pretty flat and it still is, just not overly flat....Very one plane from seeing diagrams and video's of it..... but now i know im swinging in to out at the ball an i play a very controllable push fade which doesnt lack distance at all and im a happy camper.....The whole left side of the course is taken out of play.......

On a side not i can still hit draws with my 6 iron to wedges if its called for but 9 times out of 10 i hit fades with them all :)

Uh, ha. Trick question?

I'd say a push and draw player is in-out and back in again.

Let me go and find out.....off to play.

i know that one of my main causes for an out to in swing is that i lean forward slightly on the backswing. must try and stay clear of this today. rain aint too bad so we are out at 3.30. yay :)

Just One will come along and bamboozle us shortly ;)

He sounds like a knob!

Yes it's possible to swing out, you can adjust your spine tilt, swing under the plane, come into the ball with higher hands or (heaven forbid) lose some connection.... but whatever you do it should only be a small, controllable amount. You can also just swing in-to-in and adjust your plane base........

This video might help.... wouldn't want to confuse anyone.........

This video is for hitting it STRAIGHT, if you want to hit a draw then you still have to adjust accordingly but this vid should/could point you in the right direction... so to speak
