I seem to have a completely different tempo when I am on the range to the course, When I try to slow down to get the tempo in my mind right it goes completely wrong.

Any tips on how to transfer the tempo over from range to course ? Or is is just practice and it will happen ?

Cheers

You're not alone midnight. Most higher capers get too fast when playing in a medal or stableford, including me. We all know a smooth swing is paramount to a solid strike but the head takes over
It sounds like you're decelerating which is another no no. The only advice I can give you is to get the hips turned to 45* wich then naturally turns the shoulders to 90*
When I do this I find it keeps my arms passive and let's the body do the work
Depending how fast you rotate through gives you your swing speed

Sorry for rambling but by the time the body rotates back and through this gives you a nice tempo. One of the better players will probably give you a more expert explanation
Hope this helps
