I’m going through a disaster the now with my swing path and it’s affecting my love on the game that I no longer look forward to stepping on to the course.

I’m looking to book a lesson with a range pro to try and sort it out as my swing path seems to go from outside to inside on down swing which results in a nasty slice that takes shape halfway once the ball is air bound in the shot.

What am looking to find out is could one 30min lesson tell me everything I need to know or would it take more than the one?? Don’t know much work or info involved in this as never had a lesson. Would rather go to my own pro but due to dark nights and no floodlit practice areas I have to pay double a lesson at a range for it

Steve i have an out to in swing too,and sometimes the ball goes out right,i have realised its because i dont transfer my weight to my left side through impact. Before you give in or spend money on a lesson just try concentrating on getting your weight onto your left side,it will help.

I have the same problem and have been given the same advice by my pro. He also adjusted the position of my arms to be more across my chest. For me it's not the number of lessons to fix the problem it's the amount of practice you put in to bed in the change. I don't practice enough.

I'm willing to practice 3-4 times a week so am back and firing for the start of the season and get back to how well I was playing at the start of this season or better.

Seem like av got worse as the season went on instead of better.

What drills can I do to transfer my weight over to my left side as dont really know what to do here??

In answer to the original question if it is as big a problem and as ingrained as it sounds then one lesson will only really be a band-aid. You'd really need to get the pro to give you a drill (or two) and really work on it at the range and then go back and see how far you've progressed. You might be a really quick learner but my feeling is that it would take 2-3 lessons to break old habits and get the new swing path working

Thers a drill in the epert section of this months golf monthly, why not take a peak.

It depends if the first lesson clicks, Stevie. It might take a few to "get it"

+1.

I fight against the nasty bloke that is Mr. Out to In. Sometimes he goes away with with gentle nudge. Other times even a solid 3 iron in the head doesn't get him down for long enough.

He was on holiday today. HOORAY.
