Suspiciously Nonexistent Party.

When will you ever learn that we down south aren't interested in Scottish politics??

It's a story on the national BBC pages (as opposed to a regional one) concerning an issue that affects the entire UK. It has absolutely nothing to do with Scottish politics.

BBC seem to be trying to air brush the SNP from political comment.

I also watched the Corbyn documentary the other night.
No mention at all about the lost Labour votes in Scotland, all about England.

Perhaps the theme is, if we ignore them they will go away.

That's the spin the bitter mob will put on it. Truth is it wasn't relevant to the story to breakdown how all the minority parties voted.

Didn't see the Corbyn thing but that's more worrying. Doesn't matter what Labour do down south they can't win without also turning it around up here so should be a big part of their strategy....

If everytime a vote took place we had to hear how the Scottish MP's, Welsh MP's, Irish MP's and English MP's voted as a block then people would give up interest in their droves.

Let it go. We are a union until a country in the union votes Yes to independence. Until then keeping that heavy chip on your shoulder is only going to affect your golf swing.

Its been the summer recess. EVERY part has been nonexistent. But Doon (chip on the shoulder) wants to make an issue of it 'specially for the SNP...

Another classic thread, reminds me of the old chestnut I heard a Scottish gentleman say about the royal family on radio 5 this morning.
I watched the tv programme in question, could have sworn it was about the current labour leader contest. They did obviously mention getting walloped in the last election just not the Scotland bit, it would have stood out as being a hit odd had they mentioned it anyway imo.

The OP was to do with the reporting of the vote by the BBC.
It reported that the Tory rebels joined with the Labour Party to block the vote.

We all know that this is simply not true.
So why did the BBC report it as such.

What part of that isn't true? Did Tory rebels not vote with Labour?

THAT'S the story, the SNP voting against the government isn't news.

Dunno why that article makes the distinction - the Scots would always vote against a Tory government, whatever badge you stick on 'em.

Not newsworthy whatsoever, foregone conclusion - insignificant and slotted in along with the Labour vote, as per.
