So it's only days away and I can't believe we are almost half way through the season, haing missed the last round I'm glad this one is complete with a bigger points haul, should help me catch up on that Duncan mackie chap.

Really looking forward to the live scoring set up, it's going to be interesting to see so can handle the pressure and who will crumble under it.

So come on forumers, who's entered round 1, great weather and the live scoring should make for an interesting day

Good luck mate hope it goes well. Sadly not made 1 event yet due to work schedule, but will get along to a couple of latter year events to see everyone.

Bournemouth Open 36 holes for me (unfortunately)

anyone playing both majors has a chance at the big one (clubs) - I will be happy making the end of year final :)

I think to be fair if you can get 5 rounds in you have a chance of the super final Duncan, good luck in the open.

Fader ou should get along, forget the majors the value for money factor is second to none with some great prizes for what is effectively the cost of a standard green fee, I'm looking forward to the majors though, I like this live scoring idea.

Gatton manor major is going to be one not to be missed, great track and at that time of the year it should be ideal

Just had a look and should be able to get to Selsdon and Surrey national. You guys playing either of those?

Will be at both, selsdon is about 1 mile from my house, Surrey national about 5 miles as the crow flies

I actually really like selsdon park, every hole is unique

Looks like you might be the only one!

What sort of times do these things start and finish? I can imagine the M25/M1 is a nightmare Friday evening.

During the summer months you tee off around 12 ish , by the time you finished and had presentation you miss the traffic

Get involved Gary, you know you want to

I do want to, but its weighing up pros and cons of taking a days holiday. Are you the only other forumite playing?

I like the look of the course, short with lots of water.

Good luck to all those playing in the Major. We had our first Major on 26th April at Romford GC (great course imo) but the live scoring system failed sadly. It was up and running for the next round we played last month and it's pretty good, particularly if you've posted a score and are sat in the clubhouse with the rest of the players watching the leaderboard update after each hole. Adds to the drama!

Just paid for Pyrford, I'm in

Couldn't really go for some of the previous ones after playing the first one at the Drift as I had so many board comps and qualifiers on the Saturday and it can be a long day travelling the day before.

Time to catch up now ;)

That live scoring sounds good. Can you see the leaderboard while you're playing, or just when you've finished?

When you enter, can you ask to be paired with the other GM'ers or is it random?
Can you request a general tee time?

I'm getting more tempted by the minute, but I'd prefer to play as late as possible.

I'd love to get involved in tours like this, but they just cant interest me unless they are CONGU affiliated and have a bearing on handicap too. Ultimately that the best prize you can have, a low handicap
