Here's a man hug with a bit of black slapping.

Whoa gan canny there man, wye man we kna there's been a bit of shenanigins ganning on but tha's nee need to gan all girlie like.

In all seriousness though, biting your lip was probably thes best thing to do, as, from what you have written about your boss he seems just petty enough to have sacked you.

Not uncommon on works golf days. Been thoroughly embarrassed by people who should know better at days like this myself.

One course in my locality that even banned the company I worked for at the time from making another booking it was that bad.

Worked in sales in the past and taking clients golfing has to be the biggest risk to a business relationship that there is out there ;)

Move on, put it behind you and get back to enjoying your golf again.

Move on Alex, we've all been with bosses like that, I had one who at our company do at Gleneagles decided it would be a laugh to throw the decorative stones from plants across the room at other people then hide:o

My advice, move on and make your excuses for any future company outings and lets hope your boss doesn't get pointed towards your post!

I had a similar experience about 6 years ago and i have not spoken to the person since, asked a very good friend if he would like to come on a golf weekend paid for by my boss, everything was fine until my friend decided to get drunk at the free bar,got warned for groping the waitress, was in no state to play golf and ended up fighting with another guest,in the end my boss told me in not to many words to pack his bags and get him away from the place,i had to drive him the 2 hours home and then drive back and not once did he think he had done anything wrong and called me names for being a brown nose and arse licking my boss.

what a chump!!! I personally would have said something to him, even though I hate confrontation. I'd rather look like an embarressed school kid than put up with that stuff all day. I'm pretty thicked skinned and don't let too much bother me but it sounds pretty bad.

At the end of the day it sounds like you get on with him really well in the workplace so just remove yourself from socialising with him.

But fair play on the rant, EVERYONE would do the same.

Something to learn from this is that a person placed above you in the society might as well be a total idiot...
Don't show him too much respect because he obviously showed you NONE.

It was a company day, get over it. Hardly the monthly medal. I had a litre of sunflower oil poured down the inside of my golf bag at the pub outing.

Couldn't hold onto a club all day. Some days its best to just enter the spirit of the day.

You're joking right? Having sunflower oil poured into your golf bag goes way beyond "entering into the spirit of the day"

Maybe I'm a boring old git, but that's probably why I don't play in work golf days.

Luckily for me, I've never had the misfortune of playing with people who take having a laugh too far.

You could always call in sick on Monday saying you have whiplash injuries, and ask if he knows any good injury lawyers.

Wow what a complete idiot! I would have asked him politely to stop being a idiot then if it had carried on I would have grabbed his clubs and thrown them in the nearest lake so he couldn't play on.

Our MD is the complete opposite, really nice genuine bloke who I played with last year and Is a pretty good golfer to.

Your CEO sounds like a real c**k, theres nothing much you can do apart from avoiding being in the same group next time around.

Try and play your own game next time and try not to let people like that get to you whilst playing.
