We are closed this morning after the torrential rain in the last couple of days

fingers crossed the deluge we've just had will go someway to saving the tees are they were getting rather dry and dusty

We've just had 3 hours of rain and an exciting thunderstorm. I predict that by the time I get to the course after lunch it will look exactly the same as it did at the weekend.
The guys doing the The Big Golf Race today will have had some variety.

After two nights with light drizzle and steady light rain just started our greenkeepers are pleased.
Not so pleased are the players in the England Golf Seniors Series out on the course now.
But it looks to be easing

Absolute deluge last night with course closed until 10:15. Some pretty severe flood/runoff damage to a couple of bunkers, but hopefully that can be easily rectified. As much as the course may have needed a good drenching I’m not sure it needed so much in so few hours given the ground was so hard after a very dry 5 weeks.

You’re right but Burnham looked exactly like Princes does now back in August. It normally recovers but sometimes as per Burnham last year it just doesn’t.
