Well done on some pretty good results.
You get knock backs in life and it sounds like you think you have just got your first.

Life takes you on a strange journey.

Non of my daughters Uni circle of friends have ended up doing anything like the planned.
For example the first class science guy is a Tesco branch manager and really enjoys his work.

I have had three knock backs in my life of 64 years.
First one lead to a change in career.
Second one lead to me meeting my lovely wife of 42 years.
Third one lead to a fantastic job beyond my wildest dreams.

You make the most of what you have and get on with it.
Look on it as an opportunity and not a set back

Thanks for all the kind messages, you don't understand how helpful they have been.

As it turns out, I am now going to a new, better school. Can do the a levels that I couldn't do at my old school, and it is a very sporty school so I get to play golf everyday !

Good to hear Ally.
Being a decent golfer is definately a big + on the CV.

Your parents probably love you loads and want what is best for you.
Sometimes that can be too much, you have to find your own way.
