The favoured drink of many, including me, seems to be in decline. Alcohol content wise any way.A year ago it was 'wife beater' at 5.2 percent. Then it went all pc, dropping to 5.0, in line with other premium lagers.According to the can I have just opened, it is now 4.8? Give it a year, and it will be shandy.Oh, and their cidre is like cider, but weaker too. Not impressed. Going back to peroni.

Am happy with guiness, but real ale does not work at home. Will drink any of it on tap, but cans / bottles taste like keg.

At home, I drink (drank) Stella.

Peroni,Tiger and Cobra are my favourite lagers but our club has just got a Czech lagers called Kozel and that's really nice for 4% lager.

Viru beer is my current tipple....a fine Estonian lager at 5%....beautiful.

A nice bottle of leffe for me - and it's strong!

Mutually exclusive terms for me! Same with Stella - has a chemically aroma for me.

Found a wonderfully refreshing Golden Ale fro Windsor&Eton brewery though - Knight of the Garter. And at £2 a bottle from local Laithwaites, I'm getting through quite a bit of it quite cheaply! Lowish alcohol (3.8) too. My days of high strength drinking are long gone - even before Firkin pubs (Dogbolter was 8.4% in some!) got bought by Punch.

When it was 5.2% it did funny things to me (and not just me) after just four or five cans/pints. God knows what was in it. And in hindsight it tasted terrible.

Haven't drank it for about 5 years. Heineken/Becks is my premium lager of choice. Altho 3 or 4 of them at home is more than enough for me now and I'm only 26!!

Stella Tortoise is all right but for me it's got to be Bud from a bottle. Not that I'm a stereotype Yank or anything ..... when I was younger, it was Diamond White, aka Fighting Juice. Four bottles of that and you went to stand up and your legs didn't work.
