Can anybody help, the Starbucks advert keeps reducing thread page to silly size. I then have to come out of everything and start again on forum intro page. Only happens when Starbucks advert is showing

Happening with me too (iPad) although I think the brand is irrelevant, as I only see the GG one.

Edit: Lol, after typing I schrolled down to have a look at the bottom advert - it was for Tena for Men....

And then the Starbucks ad came on and here I am typing in a squashed up window. The Starbucks ad is Landscape, that's why it's happening.

Yup getting that same problem with that blasted ad on my nexus. Does anyone bother checking the effect that certain types of ad has on usability

Currently there is a Nike shoe advert obscuring all the drop down menus. Obviously, GM needs the revenue from adverts but there does indeed seem to a sort of carelessness as to the effect they have. Perhaps some reflection is needed on whether advertisers are happy spending money on advertising that irritates the consumer rather than promotes the product? It does seem counter-productive.

Unless we have a variant on the deliberately irritating ad that you notice because it is. See for example price comparison TV ads
