I wouldn't decide to go to blackpool even if it was the groom's last wish!

I will say that organising a Stag do is the most stressful thing I've ever done. You've got to make it good enough for the groom to remember it being a top time but you've also got to make sure you get everyone there.

Having decided on the dates two weeks ago (and notified the entire party) then deciding to go abroad (notifying everyone yesterday), I now have one person sending me two emails - one that says that weekend is no good as it's his younger brother's birthday (and two other guys on the Stag are this guy's brother too!) so it "might be tricky" and a second email saying "are you sure it has to be abroad? I told the wife I couldn't afford a family holiday abroad this year"

Cant please all the people all the time... trouble is... you have to in this case!

An idea is to do something like Karting or shooting in the UK close to everyone, then go on the piss. Then do an away trip for those that can on a date you see as best for the masses.

Yea, but it's double the cost for most people as most will want to do the karting/pish up in the UK.

Trouble is I don't want to fore-go the abroad thing altogether as his 1st choice stag venue was Ibiza. I've pretty much ruled that out due to peak season costs, but don't want to comprimise too much by not going away at all as I know he'd be disappointed. And EVERYONE else is happy to go abroad.

What's really irked me is why couldn't they have said two weeks ago about the date?

I've been invited to a stag in July - got the email with the dates and location the other day basically saying "Start saving, we're going to Las Vegas!...Oh and by the way, we've done some initial research and it's going to cost you £1000"....So they've basically alienated all my friend's school mates that were invited as none of us can afford £1000 for a stag lol.
