Stack & Tilt

As I don't know the facts about those juniors I can only give my opinion taken from my own experiences and observations.

When I started with stack and tilt my back was a little sore, but it was a muscular thing, I was using muscles that had probably never been used before.. ever! and I'm proper hitting hard, using those new muscles as hard as I can swing a club.. harder than I ever did before on the old muscles,... no wonder they ached at first, I was breaking them in :)

Now my back feels better than ever, really strong in fact.
I can't say how long those juniors you referred to were actually using stack and tilt or indeed how strong their muscles were....

I once did 100 situps and couldn't walk for 3 days! Totally seized up :D

The argument against stack and tilt is whether or not it would cause long term damage, either tissue or bone, there is nothing to say that it will do any worse than the 1000's of people who already have bad backs from the conventional swing.... as far as I know.

As you said you are only giving your opinion.

I too am only giving an opinion, I did not in any way say that the S&T method is wrong(I`ve actually got the 4 dvds on the method)I merely commented on the statement made that it does not cause back pain etc and that anybody who says it does (theCraw) is completly wrong and does not know what they are talking about(quite a blinkered viewpoint).
Murphthemog has his opinion on S&T and it obviously works for him. He defends his opinion by adding in that anybody else who disagrees knows ZIP. Well obviously many must have made an opinion that the method does cause back pain etc as it would take more than (thCraw) to start a so called myth.
Thousands of Pros & coaches all have had different opinions on the Golf Swing but most accept that what works for them may not suit everybody.
Don Trahan(The Surge) & Don Trahan Jnr for example promote a swing method that eliminates back pain(their opinion).
Others promote the Ernest Jones Method( and he only had one leg)but was still a great golfer.
Arnold Palmer,Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Greg Norman, Tiger etc etc all give different opinions but all emphasised that it worked for them but not for everybody else. None of them said that there method was the only right method.
So my point is that (theCraw)and others who criticise
S&T have the right to their opinion without being slagged of for giving it.

Enough :D :D

I'm not slagging anyone off mate, like you I'm simply replying to what's in front of me :)

Your opinions and examples are valid ones.

Murphs reply to the Craw was up to him. They could always throw sticks at each other :)

Barrs Irn Bru ginger bottle is my weapon of choice!

Bring it on.

As the auld yin says, everyone is different, christ I grip it baseball with a strong grip, however who says that isnt the correct way to play golf?

I am a believer that you do what comes naturaly!

Ditto for a strong base ball grip. Still think your bottle of irn bru is a bit light weight. My pint bottle of Stella packs a punch.

If I can still see straight.

Be careful here, remember Irn Bru is made in Scotland from GIRDERS. Packs a stronger punch than you would think
