Hi All,
I'm new to the forum and one of the organisers of a golf society who go away every six months and play a Ryder Cup Style comp between two teams. Unfortunately due to work commitments one of 20 players has had to pull out of our trip to St Andrews and we are now left with an odd number. Bearing in mind we play fourballs, greensomes, foursomes, and lastly singles this is not an ideal situation as we would like an even number of people (10 on each team).
We are playing the Jubilee Course on the 25th April (fourballs), Lundin Links on the 26th in the morning (greensomes), Leven Links on the 26th in the afternoon (foursomes) and finally singles on the Castle Course on the 27th April. We have accommodation booked in St Andrews town centre (twin rooms in two shared houses) from the 23rd to the 28th and also have two £20 food and beverage vouchers at St Andrews for the Thurs and Saturday. The total cost we have each paid for all of this is £400 but the guy who can't come would be happy to even recover half of this money should anyone fancy stepping in to replace him. We are a friendly group of guys ranging from age 28 - 45 and with handicaps from 6 all the way up to 24.
If anyone fancies joining us and helping us out of a bind they would be most welcome. Most of us will be up in Fife from the 24th (quick practice round at the Eden course) and travelling back on the 28th. If anyone from outside Scotland is interested then we have some people driving so a lift could potentially be arranged.
