Evening all,
Played today with a pub society that played my own track......
48 people in total and even though it was my own track it cost me 30 euro but for that we got a breakfast as well.... I didnt mind paying it as the money was going into the club and being a guest with the society i was also included in the guest category prizes.....

Anyhoooooooo......Finished my round with 35 points :D
joint 3rd overall....with the 2nd place on 37 points and the winner on 41......

There was a prize on our par 4 371mtr 18th for the longest drive........
Cue my MacGregor MacTec driver....My wilsonstaff DX2 and a slight following breeze......I was tempted to try finish with a decent card but not having hit the big fella in 6 months up to last weekend i said id give it a lash.......

What followed was a perfect strike with a lovely high draw that met the centre of the fairway.....

When i got to the ball i was in position A 30mtrs inside the 100 marker with a 70mtr pitch for birdie chance.....If my maths are right thats 301mtrs (329 yrds).......

I walked off with a par and some crystal for the Longest Drive  :D :D.....
My very first Glass trophy....

Well done Kid

Won a few long drive's myself down the years - the loft's full of crystal!

Funnily enough I once won a driver as a longest drive prize. :D
The nearest the pin winner got a wedge and the fewest putts prize was a putter - not sure they thought that one out too well.

Thanks Murg.......I have to admit though where i saw the ball 1st come down on the fairway was about 50 yards behind where it finished.......The advantage of summer fairways

Its funny when you have a club on a sabattical and all of a sudden just because of a slight change in address the thing starts to work again! :D ;)
