Hello all,

I’m looking to re-grip my entire set soon as the wear and tear, particularly on the irons, is becoming noticeable. A little slick in places.

I’d like a soft feeling grip that holds up well in wet weather. No cord or anything too firm so I’m ruling out Multi Compounds. Tour Velvets always seem decent enough, but also looking at the Winn grips as there described as being particularly soft and tacky. Another possibility could be Iguana Hex grips, quite cheap on eBay but not sure as to their durability.

Any recommendations for other brands/models?

Lots of very good looking fake grips on eBay. Try use Gamola or one of the other really good grip sites.

Black grips last longer.

I can't really comment as I'll only use full cord grips.

I will however agree with Alex and say black last longer.

I have some GP BCT grips in white that may need changing after a season of wear.

I use Lamkin ace 3gen permawrap on my 8 iron to SW, as I don't use a glove for those clubs, and wanted extra grip.

I've found them superb, even in the wet.

Gamola is the place to look. Full range of pretty much everything on the market and a description to give you some help. I'd suggest typing Golf Pride and Lamkin into google and looking at the official sites for more explanations on what grip suits what conditions etc.

I've got white Golf Pride VDR grips on my irons. They are starting to look a little grubby now but very comfortable to use and good grip too.
Next time though I think I will go for the Lamkin 3Gen.
