Whats a floury Bap? I'm guessing it's what we in Wigan call a Barm Cake or Barm Joe. Best served surrounding a meat n'prater pie covered with brown sauce..... such as....

It's a burger which I did for the Superbowl, me an d couple of mates every year watch the Superbowl and try to eat what I put out. In the picture, you have fro the top down:-

Sesame bun
Slice of Beef Tomato
Letuce
breaded onion rings
Jalepeno peppers
Mozzerella
Aberdeen Angus burger 1/4 pound
Moteray JAck cheese
3 strips of maple smoked bacon
Aberdeen Angus burger 1/4 pound
Fried onions
Beef Tomato
Letuce
Bun Base

On the side is skinny chips, with melted cheese under the home made chilli

It doesn't need the tomato.

Yup.. And luvverly they are too. If you'd like a diet version, you could always put low fat mayonnaise on top instead of HP Brown sauce..:thup:

Why do golf clubs insist on serving up burgers/bacon/sausages etc. in horrible floury baps?
I much prefer a proper "crusty" roll.
I love it when I go to Lefties gaff and prior to playing you can go inside and order a nice burger, with plenty of onions in a nice crusty bread roll. It tastes so much better.
I think floury baps, like broomhandle putters, should be abolished.

Indeed; crusty roll, soft white roll, baguette, french stick, even a brown bread roll rather than a bap. They are invariably that large that whatever content there is gets lost and all you taste is the bread.
