Soft, floury baps or proper, crusty rolls??????

...and the flour gets everywhere including yer grips, floury baps are the devils food....

...Oh! and anything more than a handful is just a waste:smirk:

I have got to be honest, Blackmoor does the most wonderful bacon sandwiches, I think they are the nicest bacon sandwiches I have ever tasted.
But I would much prefer a nice burger, with some onions, in a crust bread roll dribbling with fat.
I cannot stand floured soft baps and think that golf courses that serve them should mention it on their websites.

Tell them you have an allergy and can they put it in french bread or at least a couple of 'normal' slices.

(and I'm going to have to try that myself next time) :p

Smiffy, Forget the gallery of the course on the website, A Gallery of the clubhouse food should be a priority. Bacon Rolls, Burgers should be exactly how they serve them, Not like Mcdonalds with the fake pics!

Absolutely right. I hate it when you see an advert for something nice and tasty, whether it's on the telly or in a magazine ad and when you actually buy the product it looks nothing like the item you saw.
I am now only going to play golf courses where they serve up crusty bread rolls (or at least give you the choice).
I am seriously annoyed about this.

We had floury bacon baps at West Hill last week. I took two bites and gave it away. If that had been a crusty roll, and I had eaten it all, I reckon I would have had a lot more than 19 points due to my increased energy levels.
I reckon West Hill have got a lot to answer for.

I gave mine up more so because it was too dry, I like my batches, rolls, baps whatever you want to call them buttered, can't stand a dry batch, even with sauce on it needs to be buttered.

Prefer a good thick white bread also from an uncut loaf rather than a roll/batch of any sorts

Is that man vs food the three plates??

It's a burger which I did for the Superbowl, me an d couple of mates every year watch the Superbowl and try to eat what I put out. In the picture, you have fro the top down:-

Sesame bun
Slice of Beef Tomato
Letuce
breaded onion rings
Jalepeno peppers
Mozzerella
Aberdeen Angus burger 1/4 pound
Moteray JAck cheese
3 strips of maple smoked bacon
Aberdeen Angus burger 1/4 pound
Fried onions
Beef Tomato
Letuce
Bun Base

On the side is skinny chips, with melted cheese under the home made chilli

All that lot would make me heave. I can't eat a lot nowadays.
All I want is a nice, tasty, beefy burger in a really crusty roll with a pile of fried onions on top. That's all. No ketchup, no fries, no nothing.
Just me, bread, burger, onion & grease.
I would score 40 points plus off of the back of that.

You've caught the sun too much

Now that should be on every clubhouse menu. Maybe not the halfway hut though !
