Society Challenge 28th September

Blackmoor is putting on a Society Challenge on Wednesday 28th September. 20 Societies that have played this year can enter a team of four.

Format is a four-ball betterball competition, with an entry fee of £136 for the team. (£34 each player) Seems like a good deal, bearing in mind entry includes bacon baps and coffee on arrival, and a two course carvery after play and prizes.

If anyone is interested in playing let me know, and assuming you are house trained, I can probably provide accommodation for anyone travelling long distance.

The greenkeeper has promised to make the pin positions easier !

I will need to know fairly quickly if we are going to enter a team, as I imagine places will go quickly.

i've run out of leave, what with BLackmoor Part 1, various other things, and a late notice dayout courtesy of GM that i could not (woudl not) turn down.

Anyway whilst the rest of the 4 ball might comment on my exemplarary behavoiur on the day, i dont think i should pile any more stress on Rich by having me cause consternation to any more members with my dress code.

Club have confirmed we are entered. Initially one team of 4, but nearer the time we may be allowed another team.

I did promise Smiffy and TXL a place on the team, for all their help with the forum Meet. Hopefully the team will not be too weakened with Smiffy playing. The team is therefore;

I'm happy either way Richard if it is easy enough for you. Personally I'd rather you were above me on the reserve list for the team if we can only have one as you did a great job up to and on the day.

Timgolfy might be interested in a long driving comp but doubt that Blackmoor is the place for it!!

Talking of Camberley, I have been having discussions with the management regarding the possibility of holding an event there next year, I will post some options in a day or two for you all to vote on.
