Can top 41 easily, did 64 hours on exercise in 2000 in Germany, then slept solid for 13 hours?

Was in nice condition for around 24 hours before I got a kip

5 days. I read one of Homer's 'had a lesson and just back from the range' threads. :p

I'm terrible on no sleep. I simply can't function on no sleep. If I'd been in the forces and been up all night, the friendly fire incidents would have been untold. :ooo:

Mind you, if I'm on the booze then sleep becomes immaterial.

haha its now just hit me and feeling almost drunk, bed's a calling, shame I cant sleep for 24hrs, up for work at 6 :(

on a side note I have earned loads of brownie points off the gf so am good for plenty of golf when the weather improves ;)

Back in the day I got up at 6am, went to work for 7, finished at 5.
Jumped in the car, drove to Reading Uni where Motorhead were playing, had a few bevvys, watched the band and then joined the local Road Crew dismantling and packing up the trucks.
Met Lemmy + liggers (all stoned) finished about 4am. Back to my mate's house for a coffee or 5, off to work for 7 back in Wycombe. Finished at 5, jumped back in the car and drove to the Hammy Odeon to watch - Motorhead again! Joined the Road crew again, drove my mate back to his place in Reading - more coffee, back to work at 7, finished at 5, got home and collapsed in a heap.

Oh those were the days.....

Army again, the field exercise of my senior promotion course, 60 hours without kip. Trouble was you couldn't even mong it, you were either planning and leading, 2ic, or at least having to stay on the ball so you weren't stuffing up your fellow students chances. 5 hours kip in a range hut followed by a full day of field firing. Never been so tired but finally understood why fitness was so important.

Only just over 30 hours. Done about 5 24hr shifts at work in an emergency but went to bed as soon as I got home. I need my sleep.

when i was a very very silly boy a long long time ago i was awake for 72 hours, when i eventually went home i collapsed in the hall and slept for 20 hours. cracking party so it was:whistle:

I did somewhere between 48-72 hours on an exercise with the TA. We were hold up in a training village in Wales waiting to be attacked. Towards the end I was hallucinating that I could see giant soldiers lurking in the trees...

Nothing as extreme as the examples above, but since starting night working, I have managed to get accustomed to less than 5 hours sleep per night on average. I quite like it now as I get plenty of time in the day to play golf or go to the gym.

40odd hours for me. Came back from Mexico in May last year, had been up for 36 hours, went straight to the
golf course, got to the 16th and the sickness and diahrea (sp) holiday bug kicked in, had to run back to the
clubhouse.....JUST made it. Anyway home for about 1pm and sleeping for 8pm so about 46-47 hours!

Been there, done that  and bloody loved it. Wouldn't be able to it these days though but very good times.
