SkyGo help/rant!

I've got skygo on my ipad and ipod touch.....When the new skygo app came out I upgraded it on the ipad from the appstore.....no problem.

last week I upgraded it also on the ipod touch...since then I've not been able to use sky go on the touch and keep getting the "limit reached" error message. Apparently this is when you have more than 2 devices registered as you can only have 2.

Well I've only got ...the ipad and the ipod touch........all I did was upgrade to the the latest version of the app..

chatting on the on line help was no good as the text box disappeared where I was supposed to ask my question........after telling me that the problem was because I had made a change and would have to wait a month, I couldn't respond..........the guy kept going ' are you still there?".....well i was but couldn't respond as there was nowhere to bloody type!!!!!

What a ridiculous scenario whereby you upgrade to a latest version of the app and it considers this to be a change and then blocks you out for a month......utter bollox from Sky.

anyone had a similar experience or know a solution?

(would insert a rant smiley but cant see any of them!!!!)
 
Demand a months rebate and a free month for the hassle. They're a bloody waste of time!!

had this issue a few mths back with sky when I had to reset my laptop to factory settings (and sky could see this had caused it on their system), and it happened a few days before going away and i had been left with neither my phone or laptop with skygo working. They claimed nothing they could do until eventually I spoke to a senior manager and he got my number of changes for the month reset to zero (despite me being told multiple times that the software didnt allow them to do this). Its an issue that they will resolve but took me hours to do so!
 
Still not available for Android tablets - looks like a stitch up deal with Apple.

Nope, just that Apple only use one OS and it remains pretty stable up until the next iphone release, where the coding changes are minimal.
c.63% of the smartphone market are Android, just not all on the same OS. Since getting my Galaxy note a few months ago I have had Gingerbread, Honeycomb and now Ice Cream Sandwich, the development teams for SkyGo can't keep up.
