'Believing their microphones were off, the pair agreed female officials "don't know the offside rule". '

I cant really see what all the fuss is about, sounds like a fair comment to me :D

Maybe, just maybe all the microphones WERE switched off.
Maybe one of the production team had by mistake left his mobile phone voice recorder thing turned on and by mistake recorded them chatting.
But nobody would do that on purpose and pass it on to the media....would they? ;)

Will they get rid of them like they did when Rodney Marsh made the comments/joke about the Toonarmy.

I very much doubt it. :(

Golfmmad.

The difference being they were looking for an excuse to get rid of Marsh, who relayed a well-known, if a bit crap, joke that was doing the rounds and was frankly not really offensive.

Certainly not as offensive as this and given what happened to Big Ron, I fail to see how this is really any different. Sexual discrimination is just as illegal as racial discrimination.

Sack 'em all and just let Brian Blessed do it all.

so Sky really do need some younger and more insightful pundits. Ben Shepherd would be perfect for the presenter position, and then Jamie Redknapp for Andy Gray's role

I don't think he's being sarcastic here so this worries me deeply!

Jamie 'Top, Top Player' Redknapp? Insightful? The only insight he provides is from his overly-tight trousers...

I will never understand how Sky can get it so right with Rugby and Cricket and get it so wrong with Football.

Keys has previous form and as a presenter should probably be sacked and replaced by anyone of a host of better and more endearing presenters already doing it either elsewhere on Sky or on terrestrial.

The problem with Gray is he is their main pundit and seen as a bit of a draw for the watching public (no I don't understand it either). He has pretty strong views but will be strangely defensive whenever a big club is involved. I think he can give it but can't take it. The sad thing is the lady lineperson (who only looked about 12) got it spot on and to be fair had a decent game. I can't see how Gray can slag Wendy Toms off either as she managed to get further than any other lady official and so must have done something right.

In the end they'll both get a reprimand and it'll be dusted under the carpet. You and me get accused of sexism and its a case of shut the door on the way out. Money really does talk

Agree Jamie Redknapp is a real pain in the ar5e.

Get Geoff Stelling to take over from Keys, and have the experts off the Saturday panel to take it in turns to do the Gray role (except Phil Thompson !)

I agree with getting rid of them, I was surprised when I watched the footy saturday and there was a female lino but at the same time she never put a foot wrong unlike a lot of the male counterparts (and dont get me started on half the prem refs)

as for who would take over the mantle... tough call tbh

My vote is for..............
Chris Kamara :D

I don't know - was any of it said live?

If not, then thats how they were probably saying it - in jest amongst mates whilst off air.

Its the person who's blabbed it that should be sacked for not being a team player and being a tell-tale ;)

It was "off-air" just like any of us say things to our pals at work/pub/course etc. If I slagged the gaffers etc in earshot at work I'd be on a sticky wicket but we can say what we like surely to like minded friends. just a thought or are we censored 24/7.

thing is nothing is ever said about ITV programs attitude towards men (pretty much all programs aimed towards women)but they have a daily PUBLIC ritual (from early morning > early afternoon) of slagging men off for all kind of reasons whatever it be

but because it against men nothing ever said

dont get me wrong i dont think keys & Gray are right
even tho their conversation was PRIVATE

but
will all the loose women be taken off air for what they spout daily ON air?

They were right, what the bloody heck does a woman want to be a linesman for? Can we not have something to ourselves? they want to play golf, cricket, football, rugby and even if Russian flipping pole vault. I'm not having it! I've said this before but I do not have the urge to do womens things in the slightest. I don't want to vac up, iron,do the washing or shopping. Bugger off and do something women do, surely there is a sale on somewhere, go to that and stay off the football field or golf course for that matter. Hmmmmmmph.

The only reason she was running the line in a Premiership game at 23 years of age was because SHE IS A WOMAN.

Who wants to jump on their "sexual discrimination soapbox" and slate the authorities that have fast tracked her into that position over her male counterparts??

Another thread full of the righteous...........Stone them, stone them!!
