All fine here.
You are aware that after about 30secs you can start watching the download...you don't need to wait until its all downloaded.
+1 no problems here.

How? Just tried to download a film today, I pressed play but it doesn't respond. I had to stop the download, only then would it playback

Select the film you want and press select. The bottom left corner will change. Wait for a bit, usually 30secs depending on connection and it will say press select to view
That's how it works for me I thinks...

Does the type of box you have affect the downloaded film accessibility? (e.g. 1Tb box v standard HD box?)
No, storage capacity is the only difference.
The 2TB box should be launched this year. Again, no difference in functionality other than capacity.
I've been with you guys for 3-4 years. I have the first gen HD box. Any chance of getting the larger capacity box...FOR FREE?
Anyone on here who has Sky and is using (or trying to use) Sky On Demand?
After much pestering I got everything set up a couple of days ago to be able to use this 'service'. Is it just me or is it just a dog of a service with downloads taking hours - hardly 'on demand'.
Probably not. You will have received equipment for free when you joined. It will have had a cost associated to it relative to the current generation of boxes.
Unfortunately that's just how it goes. Staff don't even get free second boxes, nor do we get the reduced rate on a second HD box (we are charged £99 where a "normal" customer will be charged £49).
I bought a used 1TB box on ebay for £35 delivered. Job done.
What hdd is in the HD+ box? Is it a 2.5 or 3.5??
