Green means they are projected to go up and red go down .

The cup is used to show if a player is qualified for The Open.

Certain co sanctioned events are Open Qualifiers eg South African Open, Australian Open and Open places go to players not yet qualified for finishing in some top places

yes, this. FedEx rankings - playoff qualification, yes, even this early in the season!

While it makes no difference to the viewing it's a tiny bit early surely to be worrying about Fedex rankings isn't it. Many of the bigger names are only just starting out on their schedules
