SKY charging additional fees for Premier League

Covered that already.

Yes there will be the odd one that stands out. But look at the box office games last week, this week and next week and tell me that more of those are first pick than not.

The box office picks are the ones that are left over after they go through the ones BT Sports and Sky will broadcast to ensure the fair spread of games. If they did it on market revenues then it would just be the four/five big clubs every week

I don’t believe any West Brom or Fulham matches in Oct/Nov are on ”normal“ Sky or BT, only PPV, be interesting to see how that balances out.

It isn’t that simple though is it. The random fixtures are done in a way so that most weeks the big teams are still on tv. There’s never a weekend when sky show all the lesser teams and the big guns don’t get shown as they’ve got to fit into a fair spread.

Obviously everyone gets shown a minimum amount of times, but there is still a pecking order or preferred fixtures.

Are they playing any Traditional top 6 team?

Could also be a punt by broadcasters that they’re due for some important relegation battles where people will be more likely to tune in.

West Brom were on at the beginning of the month and Fulham the week before , one more game for Fulham is on BT sport in a week

Yet it's a choice isn't it? You don't have to watch it. It wouldn't be free otherwise. They just put the football on free over the summer to keep our moral up in lockdown.

Choice is paid for or no games really?

Everything is behind a pay wall anyways in sky and bt so people will be dropping these if cash is tight which is understandable.

Correct it is a choice though you’re missing the point.

They never put football on to keep our morale up at all. It was the right thing to do.

i know what the choice is, in this current climate £15 per game at all different times is a piss take.

Newcastle fans raised £20k+ for local charity instead of paying for the game.

Liverpool fans raised over £100k by not buying that game last night, I’m sure others will follow too.

The PL/sky arent releasing the figures for what PPV games they sell due to it being “market sensitive”.

I think all club season ticket holders should be given individual code that gives them free access to all their teams televised games.

If they have paid for a season ticket, then why not give them free access to their teams ppv games?

Have we got any actual season ticket holders this season? I've not been asked for any renewal fees, and neither has the Gooner next door. I think the only Premier League club that demanded fans renew was Newcastle.

And Everton.

I struggle to see why so many people are up in arms about it. I pay for both Sky and BT and watch most of the games providing I’m not working. The games they are putting on PPV are xtra games that would have never been shown ordinarily.

Exactly

Nobody has batted an eyelid at all the other leagues Charging £10 a game to watch

Many see it as the club's need to money

Yes premier League doesn't but if they donated the fee it would work like I said.

This isn't free school meals not provided over the holidays. Football isn't a basic right.
