I have recently renewed my Skycaddie subscription for my SG2.5,at a cost of (£29.95) as all Skycaddie owners know,a month before your subscription expires,Skycaddie send you emails reminding you that you need to renew, you also have a little message appears on the unit reminding you about the renewal, and this goes on until you pay for renewal, you even have a message reminding the owner about a (Reactivation Fee) if you dont pay before the renewal date.

Well my mate, who`s subcription also ended in December failed to renew his, expecting his unit not to work correctly he tried it over last couple of weekends, and it still works,
Anyone else tried this ? or will it eventually stop working, although he hasnt tried to download any new courses,he is quite happy with the courses already loaded on his unit.

Mine expired in June last year didn't renew until about 2 weeks late in the meantime I couldn't get any yardages so sounds like your mate got lucky!

So you spent £100 on a GPS watch to save yourself £29.99

Suppose you are quids in as long as the watch lasts over 3 years
I prefer the extra distance to hazards info on the sky caddie

The G3 is mobile size device not a watch was on offer at Tesco half price, only down side is uses standard batteries I've not got one happy with my SGX but know someone who has.

I missed paying mine, but when your mates comes to connect it to the PC to download his scores or put a new course on he will only get the subscribtion for the 12 months less the bit he thinks he's getting free.

I left mine for 2 months, then connected it to my pc for an update an paid for the full 12 months and only got the 10 remaining. Just leave him to it and laugh when he thinks he's had to pay £29 for a 3 month subscription. Plus he wont have any course changes on his unit.
