Going to Skegness (North shore club/hotel) for a couple of days next week with a group from work(2 rounds + one night in their hotel) rearly looking forward to playing the links part of the course. Been told to take plenty of balls Anyone on the forum played there before? any advice for a novice player appreciated.

magnificent course.
Probsbly first 9 into the wind and back 9 wind behind.
2 pieces of advice.
1. play within yourself. Remember your handicap means you dont need to reach greens in regulation to get good scores.
2. most important of all, enjoy the weekend and dont let worrying about how you play detract from a great course in a super hotel with a group of mates. What could be better.

If you have the time for more golf, try and squeeze in a round at Seacroft or even Sandilands.
